The side markers on the bumper that come with the car look like tricycle reflectors.
So the first thing you do when you buy a VW is replace them with clear ones!

It's so easy to install the side markers.  Just push the end that is at the front of the car (the flat square end) in and the marker goes into the bumper.  Push it forward as if into the bumper and it pops out.  Carefully remove the light bulb from the old marker.  Swap the light bulb with the one the kit comes with, put the bulb housing into the new clear marker and then put the marker back in the bumper.  Put the forward end in first and slide it forward, let go and it clicks into place.   Easy!
